Susie Council

A longtime Blue Ridge resident, Susie Council is a native of Indianapolis and moved to Atlanta to attend an art and design college; she immediately fell in love with the beauty and charm of the South.

Susie was co-founder of Van Michael Salons, an enterprise that expanded into a multimillion-dollar business with locations throughout Atlanta and Tokyo. She was laser focused on creating a brand known for exceptional customer service experiences, and with drive and passion, she later established and launched Susie Council Cosmetics, NYC after receiving the National Makeup Artist of the Year Award. Her experience led to business coaching positions, a start-up partnership in a professional photography rep agency and a joint venture in multifamily real estate development on the Gulf Coast with condos and a marina.

Her eye for art and beauty, along with a keen business sense and effortless ability to connect with clients on a personal level, made the leap to a career in real estate the perfect fit. She understands the myriad of emotions home buyers and sellers experience and works diligently to ensure they understand each step of the process.

Susie is the mother of two children, her son a recent GA Tech Grad and daughter a freshman at UGA. In her free time, Susie is drawn to extreme sports: competition water skiing, white water kayaking, snow skiing and has been a competitor in the cycling disciplines of road racing, cyclocross and national mountain bike racing.

Susie has resided in Blue Ridge GA. for more than 25 years, she co-owns INOLA Blue Ridge a new urbanist town with the South’s largest wedding and event business, www.inolablueridge.com. For 2020, Susie was named “Top Producer” for real estate sales. Susie’s passion and keen eye for mountain real estate as an agent, developer and homeowner makes her particularly suited for helping her clients find that dream home.
